Default Dead Cat is alive!

Well I have been working my but off at my job and trying to get my car together. Last night was a huge mile stone. With a group of 20 friends sitting in lawn chairs drinking beer, I fired my car up for the first time in 6 years. Technology is such a great thing. This is my first LS motor and Nick Williams (of Nick Williams throttle bodies fame) flashed the compute based on what was done to the motor. The tune he loaded in is right on the money. I turned the ignition one click and got the fuel pump to come on, set the fuel pressure and then checked for leaks. I went to bump the motor to make sure I had enough battery to turn the car over and it started before the car made 1 full revolution.

Starting a car with open headers is such a rush and to have non-car people not use to that sort of thing...you should have seen their faces.

I was going to get video but the light was too poor last night. I am going to get it on the ground and try to get some film this week.

For all of you using an AAW highway 22 kit, it is fantastic. Wiring you car with a fuse box, picture schematic and a bunch of loose wire takes a long time.

Don't you just love it when friends help out? Congrats on the progress. I think I've met Nick Williams. Family owns one hell of a CNC shop outside Moorseville, right?

and yes I have. Way more time than the last time I built a car and had no kids.

Yep, Nick is up in Mooresville, NC. About 200 yards from the Mooresville dragway. He is still producing the TB's but has a shop doing work on cars as well. I will be putting my car on his rear wheel dyno.

Great news Payton! It's such a great feeling firing it up for the first time.
