I missed your question. Are you asking if it's possible to install an Ls7 into a first gen RS? If so, absolutely!

..And welcome.

sorry should I should have been more specific. would the location of the remote oil reservoir tank for the dry sump system be a problem for any of the RS components

Most of the cars I've seen mount the tank to the inside of the core support, so it shouldn't be a problem.

After looking at a few pictures, the tank may interfere with the actuators below the inner fender. (if you use the stock RS set up)

Maybe someone else that's done it will chime in.

Welcome.

If you plan on running the dry sump tank where everyone else does, where the battery normally goes, then like Bill said, it won't work, the factory RS linkage will be in the way. However, I don't know how much room and/or changes to the linkages are made when using Detroit Speed's electric motor kit. I haven't used the DSE electric RS motor kit, so I don't know changes, if any, are made to the door mechanism arms.

I noticed on the Richard Childress Series 3 69 Camaro that has a Childress SB2, the dry sump tank was mounted in front of the core support. That would be an option if you had fitment issues.
