Default Car is home from Autokraft!

Well, the car is back home and I absolutely could not be happier. It turned out well beyond what I was hoping for. It's simply amazing.

I want this thread to be as much about Autokraft as much as it is about the car. The car wouldn't be what it is without their hard work. It was great working with Kurt. I had total trust in him. If he said it needed this or that, I told him to do it. He treated the car like it was his own. He takes incredible pride in his workmanship and it shows. He was always quick to point out what he didn't like (specifically the repo parts) and how he would remedy the situation. We talked regularly, he sent pictures of the progress every week, and towards the end, even more often than that.

Kurt had the car for 4 months, he media blasted it, did some metalwork on the doors, gaps, front end fitment issues, the core support needed some love, custom bent the door bars and rear crossbar, etc. I also had Kurt move the collector on the Stainless steel Kook's headers to better fit the floor. Talk about a shop that can do it all.

In the pictures you'll see an Autokraft license plate on the car. That will be staying there until the day I drive it. I'm extremely proud to say that I'm an Autokraft customer.

And on to the pics...

And talk about perfect timing. The Beeg's old Camaro was delivered 2 hours before I arrived to take mine home. It's out with the new, in with the old.

Scott...the car looks absolutely spectacular!! It's easy to see that Kurt takes enormous pride in his work. My car is in good hands! I can't wait to follow the build.

I was scrolling down looking at your shots and saw the hood in the background. I was wondering if it was mine...then saw the car..lol Very cool pic with the car in the background!

Car looks fantastic!

Just an observation/question: Why a chrome rear-bumper and painted front?

Probably a real endura bumper. If you are not familiar, this was an option in 1969. Rubber (?) coated steel bumper.

Looks great, Scott!
