Default Naming your car....why?

Just curious on why some guys name their cars. If you did , how did the name come about?

I never did name my car- except when my son was little- it was Dadda's 'pupple Chevy Chevy ' (its a 56 Chevy Belair modified). To him ALL cars were Chevy's (when he was about 2) and then hot rods were Chevy Chevys. Go figure

My wife names all my cars too..

My '69 was Camaro-Rex

Penny is.. well Penny

And the Fairlane is Monique...

lol

Names are just an easy way to identify a certain car. I could say "remember that silver '69 built by Mark Stielow 4 or 5 years ago?"

Or I could say "remember The Mule?"

Which is easier? Ok you can riddle me this.. why do we name ships?

My 67 Camaro is the Bucket. Because in the end, that's all it is.

Come on, haven't you watched "Gone in 60 Seconds"? All cars have names

It is just more simple to have a project name and refer to it as such, instead of having to use a couple sentences to describe each quality of the car to relay the message.
