Default New Camaros rear suspension

Today GM will reveal all about the new Camaro, a lot of images have "leaked" out the last days and I found this one on the rear suspension unit.

How about putting this one in a 1st gen car. Looks like it wouldn't need to much fabrication and re-doing (exept a new floor maybe). It handles the 415 hp LS3.

How long before we see a kit from someone to adapt this in to a '69.

I guess I'd have to ask why. It seems the only reason why a guy would want to put that into their car is because it came from a newer Camaro. Judging from what I can see, they are definitely reducing performance to gain packaging and lower cost.

If you're going to go through to trouble to install that suspension, why not use a C5/C6 system with forged aluminum components? Or a trick solid axle setup?

Those are some long-a$$ endlinks! Looks like they made this aspect as light as possible.
