Default DANGER-EBay Control Arms!

I bought the some ebay control arms that looked pretty trick but this weekend with less than 200 miles on the car I was at the Pleasanton GG show. We left the show to drive through town and when over some easy railroad tracks and heard a loud noise and the car began to pull- well here's the pics

the spacers that go inside the cross shaft broke- the company states that it was a manufacturing defect and has been corrected.

here's my concern; I was only going 5 mph, what if I was rockin it in some twisties this would have been REAL UGLY. How many other control arms are out there? what would you guys do? should I believe that the problem is handled. should I demand payment for my time? Thankfully outside of a dented header tube nothing else was damaged.

what would you guys do?- Chris

That sucks. There is a huge thread on camaros.net about them, and that is not the only problem that was found. I would yank them off and put some good ones on.

Wow, scarey stuff! Thank God that didn't happen at 75mph or who knows what could have happened.

Sorry to see this happen. If you can at least try to get your money back for the arms. Use that to go towards a quality set made in North America.

BTW - Great seeing you down in Pleasanton! I think the last time I saw you was when we were leaving the Roadhouse party in your PU and you snapped the driveshaft - fun times!

No, you cant get anything, if you can get your money back then just do that. They may just want to get you a new set.

Glad there wasn't too much damage.

I would try to get your money back and buy a good set of arms, not off of eBay.

This is a problem with the early arms. Issue is resolved and the new ones have been fine so far. Or so say the masses who have bought these on camaros.net where there is a bug thread.

Let me know wen you get them off if your letting them go cheap
