Default guess I'll formally introduce myself

I'm not much on making a big to do about who I am but this place is small enough that I guess it'll be ok. No, I'm not anyone special I'm just low key for the most part.

My name is Trey and I'm out of Athens Georgia. I'm nearly 29 and came back to UGA almost 3 years ago now to finish my Mech Engineering degree. I own/operate a small Corvette performance and repair place out of Social Circle Georgia for the time being. I've actually developed swap plates and headers for the c2/3 and 4 generation vettes for people doing LSx conversions in them. I graduate in May '10 and in between now and then plan to figure out a way to convince DSE to hire me(suggestions welcomed). If the Roadster Shop or AME was closer, I'd apply their too but I have a severe aversion to the cold and Seattle is a long long way away. I should also mention I am WS6 on PT.com but apparently that's taken on this site.

Anyway, the car is below. It's just your run of the mill 79 WS6 TA 403 auto for now. The plan is a stroked 6.0 most likely cast iron unless LS2 costs come down or I find a smoking deal on an LS3 when the time comes. I want to be able to say I have a Gen3/4 6.6 I'm not set on much beyond that. I plan to make a number of subtle changes to the car. We will see what I come up with.

The Z06 is a customer's not mine. Yes, it's fast and no you can't ride in it Details on it(just to stoke the LSx superiority fire), ProCharged Stage 2 system into Melrose heads and Random Tech cat system. Factory Ti mufflers. No other power mods and it puts down 540rwhp and 450 ftlbs to the wheels. Fun times.

Love that idea of doing a 6.6 Gen III/IV.

That 79 has the makings of a nice project! If you get hold of a LS2/LS3 motor, how about posting some pics of the swap ? Oh and good luck with DSE !

It'll be years from now before I get to mess with an engine unfortunately. I'll show the process though. I'll be making my own motor mounts to push the engine as far back as possible. I'll also be building my own headers. Thank you.
