Default Question for the TKO guys

We're running a TKO600 in our Camaro. Originally stuck with the TREMEC shifter, and just got a Steeda Tri-ax when we changed clutches, which is a definite improvement.

I've noticed when doing quick downshifts back through the gears it grinds about midway through the motion. It was kind of annoying with the first shifter, and pretty much painful with the Steeda and Hurst pistol grip now. 5th to 4th and 4th to 3rd are the most noticeable, haven't really tried it going into second..so, the question is, is this normal?

Seems to me I remember my TKO doing something similar to that, but it was infrequent and only in the right scenario.

This sounds like a clutch adjustment issue. The reason I'm saying clutch is the fact the forward gears are fully synchro'd and reverse is not. I'll notify GMjim about this thread and see if he can chime in with a solution for you.

I'd have to agree.
