Good stuff! Traction control, ABS............who needs it!

Brought back fond memories of the '87 Merkur I had, that little 2 litre was surprising. It had some suspension work, an inter-cooler and I bumped the boost up to 22 lbs and it was legitimately fast. Downside was it's brakes were on par with my '66 GTO.

I've owned 2 merkurs XR4TI's and I wish I still had at least one of them. I tried using both for daily drivers (at different times in my life) and they were both very finicky. I love the styling of the cars and will one day have one again. I would absolutely love to have one as a dedicated track car. Merkur aftermarket parts are expensive though!

The little car with the big comfy interior.

Mine was pretty reliable, but the brakes were nothing short of scary but with today's brake options it would still be a respectable car.
