Default Roof Skin???

I'm thinking about picking up a 69 Firebird CHEAP in my area...

I have a few questions.

It need some fairly common patch panels;Rear Quarters, Rear Fenders, 1 lower door and Trunk.
I'm willing to go for it at that.
What has me very concerned is it needs a new roof skin...
and the front lights are in place with BONDO!!!!

Does this put it into a MAJOR Cost factor.
How much work is a new roof skin and sorting out the grille and headlight buckets. I wish is was a 67-68...their front ends look so much better!
I have an excellent painter with very fair prices, but I think this might be more than I want to deal with.

Sounds like it is a gonner, just wait until you see the one you want. I have made the mistake too many tomes of buying something that is just too far gone and would have been better off buying a better car for a couple hunderd bucks more.
As for the roof skin, its alot of work, but manageable.

It will most likely be worse than you think. I thought I could get away with less on my build, but here I am with an almost new car. The PO filled all the rust spots with bondo. If the headlights are held in with bondo, chances are there's a lot more on that car. Check out my build, it will give you an idea of what's involved.
