My name is Alex and I´m from Stockholm, Sweden.
I´m about to start a PT-project of my ´67 Chevelle SS396, after a long whiles thinking.
I´m not one of those matching numbers-freaks, but the cars´s drivetrain is correct, so that´s been my problem.
And also, I love them Pro-Touring ´67-68 Camaros, so I´ve been interested in selling the Chevelle and building one of those instead.
But finally, I think I´ve made up my mind, and hopefully will be starting the Chevelle-project very soon.
My plans this far is a fuelinjected 502 and a Richmond 6-speed, Wilwood brakes, A Strange S60 rearaxle, a Global West-kit in the front, 18"s in the front and 20"s in the back.
Because of the budget, I´ll be starting off with the rearaxle, brakes and the front kit.
Nice 67'! Its always good to catch another one around here. I know its hard to change an original car like that but as long as you keep it all bolt in you can always go back.
It´s true about the bolt-ons, but the thing is, that I don´t want to be stuck halfway through the project if some plans are changing and I need to cut something apart....
Nice ride! I'm of the opinion that cutting one up is OK as ling as it's not a super rare car. A '67 Chevelle SS396 isn't all that rare, so if you need the torch or sawzall, I say go for it!
