Default Alternatives To Art Morrison Full-frames

If the topic comes to my Impala and the subframe under it (which I would like to replace since I go with an 572 in my convertible 68 Imp)., people border me with that bloody subframe-connectors.

But I have a full length frame in the Impala and have to replace the entire frame.
Every company I brows for subframes also only got that front frames, back-halfs or connectors.

Are there any alternatives to Art Morrisons frames or is he the only one producing such full-legth frames?

The Roadster Shop and Schwartz Extreme Performance both build full aftermarket performance frames. Not sure if they have anything for your particular car though.
I personally do not see a reason why the factory frame will not work for you. These are pretty strong. Not much to look at though and they are not light.
I know several people who used to drag race these cars with big engines and stock chassis. Some got into the 8s at over 150 mph with stock frames and bolt on suspension pieces.

Thanks for the first answer,

AM also does not have something direct fit but he got a long-wheel base and convertible frame that is not dedicated to a specific car.

Got the C6 front suspension and a 9" rearend but does not looks very narrow over the rearend and I would need to fit the biggest possible tires or the widest to be precise.

Just about to check the Streetrod Garage.

Never thought that Art Morisson is one of the cheapest.

It will probably have to be custom built, but there is nothing wrong with buying a front clip, back clip, and tying them together with straight tubes.

Any local welding shop with a jig table should be able to do that for you...

I agree that in the long run a custom built chassis will serve you well.

Yep, and if you like AME then you could go with their Sport GT front and rear clips and tie them together, don't have to fabricate a full floor.

You must remember that a custom frame isn't cheap in no shape, form or fashion. A custom frame is a luxury to an already priviledged few who builds these cars.

Street Rod Garage is building mine for my 72 Chevelle. Price is really affordable, but not cheap. I went with these guys because they sat down and talked to me and explained alot of things to me. Also, they once had to call me back...and actually did call me back. That's really unusual for many companies today. If and when you call them, ask for Chris.
