Default "Name That Car"

Thought I'd post a little BrainTeaser!

Is this an early Pro/Touring car or an all out Sports Car??

Clues:

Debuted in 1970 one week before the Pantera
American Design
Mid Engine
Built in Italy
American V8 Powered

Production: "LOW" (6 Cars exist today)

Name That Car!

Hmmm... very Pantera like... no idea what it is though. Cool trivia question.

New Clue:

The same ZF Transaxle they used in the Pantera could NOT stand up to the torque of it's small block powerplant. they had to use a custom built Melara Transaxle
