Default Cable X questions on install

I have purchased an 'Abbot cable X' box from a friend recently and it dosnt have any fitting instructions.. can anyone help with what goes where?
its in a 69 camaro with a tremec t56..

3 wires from 'cable X ' go to ?
and will my speedo cable screw into the X box?
there are 3 plugs on the tremec , top one is reverse lockout , so which is for the speedo hookup?

thanx , Gav

I think mine came with a cable if I remember right. You might have to give them a call.

im in australia Don , so not really conveniant at the moment..
I bought the box off a guy on the net who took it out of his 69 but it had a tremec installed (which ive just installed in mine) so i thought it may work.

Surly some-one here has converted a t350 speedo cable to hook up to the cable x? Ill send them an email and see what they say, i bet your right i need one of there speedo cables..

Hi! I actually got one of the very first (if not the very first) Cable-X back in the 94-95 timeframe and used it to drive the speedo in my 83 Z28 from a T56. The wires are power, ground, and the 3rd wire ties into the high side of the speed sensor on the T56 (purple and yellow wires). Unfortunately that was WAY too many years ago for me to remember which color is the correct wire. I mounted mine on the drivers side in front of the fender well and used the OE speedo cable, hooked into the speedo drive on the Cable-X. It works very well or it did for me. Does this information help you at all?

As far as the correct plug on the transmission, you're looking for the plug on the driver's side below the reverse lock out solenoid.

thanx Geoff, i think mines an early model but is in very good condition.. Im in australia so info is hard to find as we dont use this stuff too often, The guy i bought it from has gone awol and im thinkin i may need his speedo cable as well. The screw on part has a different thread and diameter to what my 69 camaro runs.
