Default Body panel alignment

I have 69 camaro and reworked all the trunk to qtr and door edges,(welded to make fit nicely) My question is does anyone have a good idea of putting pins through door hinges and fenders that could be welded in permanetly to help for reassembly after car is painted? I was thinking of drilling 2 holes in door hinges on the body side and putting 1/8 round pins in them then welding on the outside of hinge, then when reassembly comes around just line up the pins and everything should go right back into place, any good suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

They "should" line back up, but they don't always.

I just drill a hole, to get me in the ballpark. Just get a good helper and you'll get it lined back up.

X2 spent a lot of time drilling for ailment holes. with metal and mud work done and still had to make changes for final assemble.
