Default Photobucket, WTH am I doing wrong

So I consider myself to be pretty computer savoy, but for some reason I can't get any photobucket pics to show or get into my own pictures. Usually during the day, then at night (sometimes) it works just fine.

It's not just my pics, but anybody's from photobucket. I just get a little icon where the picture should be see below,. I open a thread with updates only to be bummed out because the pictures don't show

Also, on three different computers the problem is the same so I don't think it's firewall related. I believe I'm using Chrome on all three, but I did try IE today too.

The second picture is what the website looks like when I go there.

Anybody got anything? Thanks.

Aaron try updating Adobe flash - free download:.

http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

Make sure you close any open windows and reboot your computer. May not work but worth a shot.

I don't use Photobucket so I'm shooting in the dark. I use SmugMug and how I post images is:

Open the image in SMugMug to the size I want displayed in my post.
Right click the image and Copy the URL

In my Lat-G post I put the cursor on the line I want the image
Click on the Insert Image icon
The text line that opens will have the "http://" highlighted in blue
Since the photo URL copied already has the http:// I hover the cursor over that and right click which deletes it and then click paste.
Then click OK

The line in the post should insert like this:

Note: I put spaces in the line to deactivate the image and just show the characters.

I'm using Win8 64 bit and Chrome and haven't had any image issues. Adobe is set to auto-update on my laptop.

Thanks guys,
Ron, I'll check Flash, but I'm pretty sure I'm set to auto update. Good though though.

Sieg, no problems posting from Photobucket, the method is the same it looks like as smug, I just cant' access it sometimes, it's like the site is down . Except right now, 7:00 EST, it's working fine. Just like it should, I can get in to the webpage and forum pictures show up... grrr.

Thanks Tim!

I know I was having a lot of trouble viewing pictures that people attached to a thread versus linked which is what photobucket and smugmug do. It had to be something with my browser which is firefox. The difference was for me, the site still loaded properly but only those pictures that were attached wouldn't show.

Try this, find a thread that has pictures that won't load. Right click, open in new tab or something. See if you can find a way to get to a login page in order to view the picture. If the picture loads after logging in, get out of the picture and back into the forum on that tab. You should be able to do this by clicking on an icon or something. Then check to see if the pictures are working on the forum. Pretty crazy sounding I know but if I log out from the site or clear cookies/history, that's what I have to do in order to get all pictures to show up.

You may want to try firefox. I switched to firefox because Chrome became incompatible with my banking website. Otherwise, I was happy with Chrome.

Good luck.
