UMI Performance, Inc. is an exciting fast growing design and suspension manufacturer seeking candidates to add to our expanding team.

Product Design, Engineering & Fabrication: UMI has a great opportunity for the perfect candidate. We need an aggressive and knowledgeable fabricator to work with our team of engineers in product development and product design. Candidate must be familiar with machining, sawing, press brake operation, tube bending and other fabrication tools. Applicant must be self-motivated and have passion for the automotive industry.

CNC Machine Set-up: Full time CNC machine set up needed. UMI is seeking a full time candidate to set up vertical milling machines and turning centers. Knowledge with Fanuc controls a plus. Prior experience preferred. Applicant must be self-motivated and ambitious.

Competition Car Builder: Skilled competition car builder needed. Applicant is to have the ability to build & maintain road race cars for national events as well as explain our products to customers in a professional manner. Applicant must be detailed oriented, reliable and have passion for the industry. The position requires traveling, attending and working national events. This is an excellent opportunity to be the face of a growing, well-respected suspension company. Please include a detailed list of skills and examples of projects completed.

Product Sales & Technical Support: UMI has an exciting career opportunity for the perfect candidate. This full-time position requires prior sales experience and knowledge of GM and Ford based vehicles. Vehicle knowledge, particularly chassis and suspension is a plus. The position involves phone sales and technical support of UMI products as well as online support. Computer skills and the ability to advance in different computer programs is a must. We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated and self-motivated individual that is willing to learn our products and business. The applicant will be required to learn the products we manufacture and be able to discuss the product line in detail with customers. This position also requires technical support of our products during customer installation.

Skills/Qualifications Required: All candidates must be self-motivated and have passion for the automotive industry, specifically aftermarket. Sounds like a great opportunity. If I wasn't involved with my shop, I'd love to help you guys out. Maybe we can do a joint venture? Driveline performance and suspension design is our focus. I'm only 3 hrs away off 80 in NJ.
