Default T-56 Tunnel cap

Interested in tunnel cap, is this for a first generation F-body ? Our car is a 69 Firebird convertible and have intentions on installing a LS-1 GTO engine and have the shifter in the factory location w/ a T-56 six speed. Correct cap ? Please advise when you get a free moment. Thank You.

Hi Tim. Yes its for a first gen. Its designed for the speedtech engine mouts & crossmember. It may fit other setups, but it depends on engine placement. I am running a DSE subframe & setback engine mounts. This cap wasnt quite long enough. I can take some measurements if you'd like.

Good morning Scott, I am new to the PT objective so I am gathering parts/components so I really do not know what I will end up with for a cross member, engine mounts, etc… I was leaning towards Holley mounts and to place the engine so as the shifter on the T-56 will end up in the same position as the original Muncie so I can use the original floor console and look factory stock on the inside. Let me do a little more homework to see if that Speed Tech cover will work for my application and report back to you, if you can afford me the time to do so. Thank you.
