Default Storage?

Hey guys, Uncle Sam has decided that I need to go to Korea for a year. I was just wondering what some of your thoughts would be for storage of my camaro. Should I just put it on jacks, fill fluids and disconnect battery and keep it covered in the garage. My wife will still be here but she really doesn't want to mess with it while I'm gone. Just trying to get some ideas.

Thanks

Scott

That's probably all I'd do. Might not hurt to put some of that gas stabilizer in the tank, or some higher octane fuel.

My dad lets cars sit for years all the time, just puts a new battery in them, and goes, .

Good idea to put on some jack stands so you dont get flat spots in you tires....and like Mark said gas stabilizer would be a good idea too....

You don't by any chance work on apache's do you? Its hard not to go to Korea for a year with 15y mos job identifier. Most people end up having fun. when I was away I made sure there wasnt very much fuel in my tank. I parked it running on fumes. That way when I add fuel when I get back, the mix ratio is more toward the fresh fuel side. Like Paul said its good to put it on jack stands to avoid flat spots.

71Nova--Nope, I am a crewchief on Fighter aircraft(F-15, F-16, A-10). They always seem to get people at the end of their career's. When I get back in a year I will have 2 left to retire.

Yea your right about getting you at the end. The Army is the same way. One of my friends is over there now because he wouldnt re enlist. He has 1.5 years left. They told him they would not send him if he would reenlist.
