Default Need advice... buy new 9" or rebuild 12 bolt

So while tuning the car yesterday the shop blew up the 12 bolt stock rear end with pozie. I knew with 700hp it may not have lasted too long anyway so ..

Question is with my SpeedTech Torque arm rear suspension, do I drop $3200 on a new Speedtech 9" setup, or replace all the internals of my existing 12 bolt with some of the best parts money can buy ??

Or .. any other options ??

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Steve

If you have the Speedtech already, sell the 12bolt and go with the 9"

What actually broke in the unit? Carrier, gear set, axle shaft?
It's probably all junk now, if it scattered trash into the gear set at high rpm's, but can you determine the actual part that failed? If it's so bad that the caps are cracked, or even out of round, It's not worth fixing.

Default rear end

Vince .. issue is 6 week wait from Roger, and with the sucky Can $$ this will end up costing $5000 ++

Need to figure out what broke. Dynos are relatively easy on the rear end compared to banging gears on the street. Something may not have been right.

If the case is good you can sell it pretty easy and put the $ towards an F9.

You can go with Currie, Strange one of the others and install the Speedtech brackets and bolt it in.

Btw. I run F9s in all my cars

very true, its not like you are driving another mile to find a good place to pull over.

I bet its the pinion shaft or gear. which would be an easy fix.
