Default Another 68 Camaro 'round here

Hi,

I thought I would introduce myself finally and share a little info on my car...I've been 'lurking' for several months. Actually got to see a few of ya'll's (yes, I'm from Georgia) cars when some of you passed through my town on the Power Tour (little blink called Wrens). I've attached some pics of my car. It's a 68 Camaro obviously. I've had it about 6 months...currently swapping the engine and transmission out for something a little more streetable. I've pulled a very modified 396/TH350 with a 4000 stall to be replaced by a good used LT1 and T56 to go in front of the existing 12 bolt with 4.10 gears. I've got a semi mild cam to go in the engine along with a set of 1.5 roller rockers before the engine goes in. I have yet to buy all the clutch parts which is what is mainly holding me back from getting the engine/trans in the car. Then I've got to build a custom harness for the 94 PCM that I'm going to use (should be fun...I love wiring!). As you can see, it's in pretty good shape. I bought it from my brother who had it since the middle 80's. He did all the body work and some of the mechanical work himself in his spare time. When he decided to sell it, he wanted to keep it in the family so I abandoned a 67 Camaro project in order to buy it. I guess that's about enough for now. I would love to hear what ya'll think!

Cool, thanks for the pics, Geoff. It's cool you're keeping it in the family.

You've got that right...I don't like the high cowl hood. I'll be buying a stock repop Z28 hood for it in the future (after it's running and mobile again).
