Default Air intake

Any ideas on what is the best air intake set-up for a 69 Camaro with LS and a 92MM Fast Tb. I need to mount it towards the drivers side and have a spot for the MAF sensor. Aluminum would be best ......

Aluminum or steel would work but would heat soak more. Some type of plastic or rubber would or should hold a cooler air temp as the engine and enginebay warms up.

I used the Spectra on my last car and also using it on my new car.

They changed now and the Maf plate comes loose and you weld it where you want it.

Used Airaid on another 69 that also worked well if you don't want aluminum

Wouldn't it be better to run the intake tube through the radiator support and pick up cool air from behind the grill rather than from behind the radiator support?

Default cooler air

Agree with Steve ...
Built my own custom closeout / air box on the Pass side, and the entire filter is inside the fender

spectre did have a kit for the drivers side but looks like they are gone now. http://www.jegs.com/p/Spectre/Spectr...659/10002/-1l]
i think they are doing a redesign of the kit. i got one of there kits for my elcamino and its a nice kit. you can still get all the parts from them to make a intake. even the heat shield # 4377. i did see somewhere that some one called them and got the part # to make a kit. or airaid makes a kit to build one
https://www.airaid.com/f-body-intake-system.aspx hope that helps some.

This is something new coming out, Rotfab is supposed to be good but I don't know from experience. But probably not cheap.

I got a Spectre driver side kit, They are redesigning it so they sent me their first new one which I welded up for a cleaner look.

Default Set me straight on braided hoses !

I am trying to figure out which hose system that Mark used in plumbing up the tank on Mayhem? It looks like a quality product and I want the black hose and fittings. I snooped around but could not figure it out. Anyone know for sure? There are a lot of choices out there now !
