First video is in car footage taking a short right hander, was clocked at 192 MPH on radar there.

Second is same race further up same road. You can see what it's like from inside the car at 200 MPH.

Last one is a drive by of the car running down a 3.5 mile straight at over 200. Volume on it is lower - crank up the volume as the reverberation as the car goes by is pretty cool.

These are short versions of larger files. I'll send the larger ones to Scott. Hopefully they don't kill his email!

Per the other post on going 200 MPH - these were filmed at sanctioned racing events held on closed sections of public highways with safety crews and police on hand.

Car is my 97 Mustang Cobra which in this trim was basically a full on-race car.

Web site at the end of the videos is no longer up. Used to have lots of info, pics and even some tech on it all about what we were doing and open road racing.

The doppler effect in the third video (the external shot of the car going by) is pretty extreme.

What I remember most on my high-speed runs was the awesome wind noise. My car didn't have open exhaust and both the wind & engine noise were competing for Top Dog.

Open road racing is incredibly addicting and expensive. Scary, too.

Thanks for posting those videos. Kawabunga,,what a rush!
