Default I Want Feedback

It has been about 3 months since I first posted my project introduction. This is the original thread:

https://lateral-g.net/forums/show...4&page=1&pp=10

Since that time I have accumulated most of the components for the build and the car is currently in the fabrication shop. I will be posting build pictures soon.

I have also had Kris Horton working on the external design. We are getting close to completing this. I want feedback on the design. In particular, I have to decide on whether to black out the chrome or not. I have included 2 renderings, one with chrome and one without. I am also looking for feedback on the stripes.

One thing I would point out is that I purchased the car with really nice orange paint and I intend to keep that.

Blacking out the chrome molding on the front/rear glass just looks strange to me, unless you're flush mounting the glass and not using the original chrome molding at all.

I like the original chrome also, but with painted bumpers (hence the reason I did my car like that)

I prefer the original chrome as well, and I like the front bumper the same color as the car with an RS grill. I'm making the same decisions on my 69 RS project currently, trying to decide to keep or delete the quarter grills and RS back-up lights right now. Your car looks great!

I think the stripe looks terrible. It doesn't flow well, and the angles on it make it seem out of place.

I'm still not happy with the stripe, personally. Initially Tracy and I had a 2-tone scheme worked out for his car that looked really good, but he decided to go with something simpler (a modified hockey stick.) I did something similar for Brian (baz) and wanted to avoid copying it, but I'm still working on getting it to fit the car better though.

IMHO, if you are going to go with a body-color front bumper, for God's sake, do it with an Endura bumper and not a painted steel bumper. When I see those I just want to gag. Again, just my $.02...

By all means, I agree with the use of the endura bumper. They seem to be easy to get as well.

Tracy already knows my feelings, black trim, black grill, tinted glass, black stripe, body color bumper. I like the stripe, it just needs dailed in
