Default 2 of 2; 65 Mustang builds at Scotts

Okay so what's better than building a kick ass 65 Mustang and debuting it at Columbus? The answer is building 2 of them!!

Recession Schmecession I say. This year has been by far the busiest in a decade for us at Scott's. Unfortunately it has kept me from updating and posting as much as I'd like.

This Mustang was slated to be a simple frame of resto-mod. As things usually do around here, it snowballed and now the owner wants to take it to Columbus. Well, how could I tell him no?

Unlike the other Mustang, this one is not going to have quite the racy look, but more of a subtle sleeper; but again, 100% of the focus will be the fit and finish like all of our projects. If this car has a gap that is not a perfect 1/8" anywhere on it when it's done, I'll eat my shoe. Well actually I let Justin eat my shoe!!!!

Here's a few updated pics of the front end.

The grill insert and the lower valance inserts will be made this week and I'll post up a few pics. The inner trim on the grill is coming ound and a sheet metal one is being made.

Stay tuned for some more updates and thanks for looking

The innder fenderwells are a bit different in this Mustang. Not better, just different. Kind of like when you, your mom, and your older brother used to go to Sears to shop for Jackets. Your older brother always got to pick his first pick and you had to get a different one even if you wanted the one he had. Then you cried for hours and your mom would tell you that his isn't better.....Just different.

Okay, maybe I have issues LOL

This looks like it will be neat, I think the hardest thing for most people is to know when to stop doing things. Just cause you can do something does not mean you should. Simple and clean...

here's the inner fender panels. Man, I thought I uploaded them, and I bet my rant made no sense without the pics, LOL......Man time to go home and eat a prozac

Notice that the belt line runs all the way around. It ties in real nice.

here's a few updates.

The front grill inserts are finished and the trim piece is done. The lower valance is finished also.

We added a set of side scoops that will be finished off nice with some chrome trim and we are working on buttoning up everything under the hood.

The rear bumper is also finished and flushed out nice.
