I'm in NY, it's 2AM and I can't sleep...
Had to come to NY...My Dad is very sick. I flew out here on Wed with just the clothes on my back... The bypass surgery that he had done back in 98 has served him well (he's 78), but over the last 6 mos or so he developed an abrasion into his small intestine and that site became infected. So he has just had the bypass re-done, and a section removed from the small intestine yesterday.
The removal and re-do of the bypass has caused debris/plaque/junk to be released and clog some downstream blood vessels.
He is fighting an uphill battle. He is stable and slightly improving at the moment. He is in Stony Brook hospital on Long Island NY. Anyway...My nerves are 100% shot...I know from the make-up of the lateral-g population, those of you that I've met and those that I haven't, that every last one of you guys would really like, and be liked by, my Dad. So if you can keep him in your thoughts and prayers for a successful recovery, I will be immensely grateful, and I could only hope to be able to return the favor someday...
I am on a PC in the business center of the hotel and probably won't be back online for a while....so....anyway...time to get a little sleep... Thanks to all of you...
