Default Can people who Drive what appers to be a race car post some pictures?

Hello:

I've noticed several Cars n this site that appear to be Racing Cars from the outside (With Striping Numbering, Sponsors etc.)

I would really like to see what all people have done in this area, and if it isn't to much of a problem, could you post pictures of your, "Race Cars"?

Also, give a description of your ride.

DRAG, NASCAR, ROAD RACE, ???, all are welcome.

Thanks ahead of time,

Ty O'Neal

Sure. In my area, it just has to have headlights, brake lights, turn signals, horn, DOT tires, exhaust, some sort of title or certificate of origin, proof of insurance, etc.

I've seen converted Sprint Cars into street legal cars around here, so yes, you can convert a race car to a street legal ride... although it may not be real comfortable.

Check out this NCTS truck that was on the Power Tour. It was really cool.

LOL, you beat me to that comment, noticed the cupholder too... my second thought was that it seems like a biatch to clean when its been out driving in the rain... must take a day to get the engine compartment, or whatever you call it clean and show-worthy!

cool UCA mounts as well... adjustable cambercurve!

Hey what do you mean, real race cars dont have cupholders?? have you checked out rod sabourys new vette yet? it was on the moroso stand at sema, it has done approx 600 road miles inc the woodward cruise and on its second ever shakedown pass ran a 7.09 1/4 mile!! apparently the boost is only at half of what it will do so hopefully it will live up to its " in the 6's" license tag. it has fully operational flip up headlamps and power windows too.

Default Open Track footage

Here's a clip from an open track day at Buttonwillow Raceway in Central California. Had a blast chasing down a couple of Pro-Touring.com friends with my '73 Camaro.

A buddy of mine liked the way my car looked stickered for the track so he asked me to put some #'s on his car similar to the way I usually put mine on. Since he wanted a sort of period correct look for his RA III TA so he got some stickers on ebay from companies that would look like sponsor stickers back in 70. I also had my guys make his name, wifes and kids. He drives it on the street often. Imagine the look on the other kids faces when he picks his kids up at grade school! Here's a few pics

John:
Those pictures are great. I bet he has a blast driving it around.

I don't know about the rest of everyone, but I really like looking at these. Lots of exterior creativity.

Thanks for posting.

If you find any more pop them up here.

Thanks again,

Ty

Dear Mary:

I'm speechless!. That is a killer bit of film, I bet your very proud of it. (I know I would be)

Thanks a tone for posting the link to it. I might just have to watch it several more times, it's very inspiring.

Is this you daily car or your street legal "Race Car"?

What all have you done to it? I haven't checked yet, but do you have pictures posted of it?

Thanks once again for linking it. It looks like you had an absolute blast.

Take Care, and post some pictures of this Bad Boy when you get a chance.

Ty
