Default Low back seats, roll cage, and harness?

I have already purchased the ISS seats for my Camaro and really like them and their shape. But I also am coming up to a point where I need to decide if we are going to do a roll cage or not. I would like to do one for obvious safety reasons, but I am under the impression that by using the low back ISS seats, I have no way to tie in a good 5 point harness as I would be if I had one of the high back racing seats with the harness inserts to tie in the cross bar of the cage.

So, does anyone know of a safe and nice looking setup to use with low back seats and a roll cage? Does the only way to do this right involve ditching these seats?

(attached pic of what I believe are the same ISS seats I have - if not, they are roughly same dimensions. Thanks to Bob the Camaro)

Thanks.

I know Rad Rides "Chicayne" used a bench, cage and shoulder straps.

I can't seem to find any pictures of that area though.

Yes those are ISS seats, that Tracy reworked "ALOT"!

If I remember correctly Chicayne has some "airplane" belt system in it. They retract via a lever on the console.

Hmm... if it is indeed tied into the cage cross bar wouldn't that create some wicked whiplash to the neck upon collision due to the low back??

"Bob" doesn't have a cage does he?

thanks guys

You'll get whiplash if you get nailed without headrests regardless of harnesses or a cage but it doesn't seem like the lowbacks would make it hard to use the belts if you have them snugged.

If you're trying to be legal for track days, I would suggest making a headrest that can be bolted onto the cross bar, then remove for regular use.
