Default Shifter Recommendation

To all:

I am looking for a very precise, short throw, tight pattern shifter, that is real easy to use proficiently.

I have had my right shoulder replaced twice, and I don't have quite the dexterity or the strength I need to work a normal Shifter. As far as the rod and ball, I will see what I need once I get it installed.

I know Steve at Shrifter, has a nice set of shifter shafts and, "Penny" wares a nice comfortable knob.

I just want to find a really nice shifting mechanism. This is for a Tremec 5 Speed.

Have you used the stock shift mechanism on a TKO? I thought it shifted nice.

Not sure?

I'm not sure what's is on it. I bought is used.

What 3 types are considered the best for my parameters? (along with the TKO)

To All:

Here's the deal, since I had the two shoulder replacements on my right arm, I still have problems lifting my right arm, and I don't have as good of dexterity as I would like to have in it, so the 2-3 shift sometimes creates a problem. As a result I am looking at a couple of top end shifters. One is the Hurst Billet/plus, and the other is the Billet Pro 5.0.

Does anyone have any comments/experience one way or the other about the Hurst Billet/Plus Shifters?

Default Have you considered paddle shifters?

I've seen some pretty cool set ups for the TKOs and tremec 6 speeds with a processor and electric solenoids. they also have a bump stick to make your TKO perform like a sequential box.

Any idea how to contact them? I try to send an email but was not working. It looks like it could be an interesting system, but the video's show very little of the actual product and how it works, it spends most of the time with a Dune Buggy playing in the sand. The FAQ section is, "Under Construction", so other than Trouble Shooting the System if it doesn't work, they really need to make their web site work for them.

If you know these folks please pass this along. It might be a great product, but the web site doesn't do much convincing about the product.

They can contact me here if they want to, I check here just about every day.
