Default Lawn tractor OVERHAULIN - Yes, I'm nuts!

Okay, you guys remember the FREE lawn tractor I got last week to take care of the repo abandoned house in my neighborhood? Anyway, it looked pretty shabby and I had some spare dupont base/clear kicking around, some sandpaper, and a few hours to kill today.

Started out early this morning by degreasing the rig. Followed that by DA sanding the panels on the tractor. Once that was sufficiently smooth I removed all body panels. I sanded the edges then primed. Followed that by spraying 97 Vette silver on the upper hood and nose. I taped that off then shot it in hugger orange. Followed with clear. Took a wire wheel to the chassis and shot it in truck bedliner, rewired the electric harness and sprayed clear over the control panel.

Just got done bolting it back together.

This week I am ordering a new seat cover, stator, battery, belt, and something else I can't remember at the moment.

Here are some shots.

It needs some 18's on the front and 22's on the back. That is all.

Bring it on over. I could use the spare belly pan room for a pair of huge cutting blades. Can you imagine how fast I could mow a lawn like that? Jessie James ain't seen nothing yet! The Monster Rad Rambler Mowing Machine! It goes 12.2 in the quarter mile and can mow an entire football field in 12 seconds more!
