Default Newest addition to the stable..

Here is what I just got for $4000

More pics on my site at http://www.z069.us/67_mustang/pics.htm

It does need full restoration.. very minor rust in a couple of spots and needs new front floor pans (mostly passenger side).. very solid great running car with a 289 (alum intake, 4 barrel, 3 speed automatic)

Now the question is should I flip it and make a grand or two or keep if for the next PHR project car? If I sold it I would find a car in a bit rougher shape appearance wise..

Thoughts?

did the coupe have to be a driver?.... if not i could hook ya up with a decent roller...disk brakes, 8", had an alum head 351W... a buddy bought it out of the local nickel paper for 2500 cash... just for the engine.... wants to off the shell(last time i talked to him anyway)

flip the car for a couple grand profit... and pick up this shell...be into it.... cheap or ahead... lemme know i can talk to him and get ya pics if ya want.

Nice thing about being a driver is that I can do before hand testing.. it doesn't have to be a good driver but you get the idea.

A car with el cheap steel rims, minimal rust and a sorta running 289 or I6 would be perfect.. oh and the interior that looks like badgers lived in it..

I would be interested in seeing pics of the car you mentioned though.. ya never know if the rest of the car is in good shape..

Wow, there's a guy on my corner that has a red one with the 6 cyl. I think it is not running as of late because he has started weed eating around it. Memphis is a long way from Cali but I can ask him. I would probably find a beater to do the PHR treatment on. The car you bought just "looks" to good. But this could be just coverup cosmetics.

Keep in mind that pictures hide a thousand sins.. the car is clean but def needs to be stripped and restored.. most suspension/steering parts are worn and it it afflicted with small dents (dings) and tiny areas of rust.. and it needs a passengers side floor. But it does have curb appeal.. it is funny how many i get just cruising around in it.. lol

I think I will put it up and see what happens.. worst case is that it doesn't sell and I rip it apart for the project.. best case is I make a few grand..

win/win.. Time to hit Craigs List
