Default Long time reader... First time poster

I love this site and forum and am proud to finally be a part of it. I love to do HPDE's and just got rid of a C5 Z06 that was my track car. I plan on next year starting a 66-67 Chevelle build to go to track days with as i am interested in getting my father involved. He used to own a 66 396SS when he was young and sold it for a 69 427 Corvette convertible. He must have a pretty good life so far because he always says he has only made two mistakes "Selling the chevelle is #1 and Buying the Corvette was #2" Right now i just have a 67 Caddilac Sedan DeVille that i plan on doing the power tour in 09 with. We maybe i should ask you guys... Ive never done it before but have always wanted to. Will they let me drive along if i do Flowmasters or something? Just kidding. BTW my inspiration for the Chevelle build is Randy Johnsons car on this forum. If you feel like saying hi id love to talk.

Welcome aboard, Rob. You'll fit right in on Power Tour with your Caddy.

Your Caddy is beautiful. Well both of your cars are. I have been stuggling with what to build for such a long time and i dont know why i didnt think of the Chevelle before. For me track days arent really about going fast but simply about having a lot of fun and learning how to drive better. I was so much faster at Mid-Ohio this year running the Z06 in 4th gear the whole track than i was "at the limits" 2 years ago in my M5.

Welcome Rob!
Boy that's a long car! Looks real straight! My Great Grandparents had a two door about that year, white w/ blue interior...I always liked that car!

Enjoy the Tour!!
