I'm going to be that guy. You never....ever....ever...buy a classic car without putting your eyes or someone you trusts eyes on a car.

I agree I learned my own lesson a few years ago just not to the extreem this guy did. I swore I would never buy a site unseen again and then I bought my Cutlass that way . Orginal paint and int and 60 pics 20 from underneath there was nothing to hide

Hey Gear, I hope it gets resolved for you. Very sorry to hear you got screwed over and thanks for the heads up about the P O S that sold you the car. Good luck, and glad you and the wife are safe.

I bet Jeff Schwartz could put a hell of a frame underneath it. That would at least be going in the right direction.

This is not me just sharing with you guys. I agree the guy should have looked at it but that goes way past differing opinions of a cars condition.

I can't even remember how many times I've seen and heard of this happening. I have had several cars dropped-off at the shop that were along these lines. I had one customer buy a car that was advertised by the seller as "Ready to paint". After I removed all of the Duraglass, rivets, and seam sealer, his "ready to paint" car needed a new firewall, full floor, rocker work, A-pillar repair, roof repair, quarter repair, etc, etc. His car was so bad that unibody sections were not even attached anymore. Todd is absolutely right. If you can't look at it yourself, pay someone you trust to do so. It will save you tons of time and $$$ in the end.

I wish you the best and hope this ends positively for you.

I have some questions.. Is the car #'s matching? Other than the floors is the body solid? What is this car worth if it was in the exact condition that this a@#$(%e stated? I can't believe this s@*t goes on today. People have alot of balls to and pull crap like this off. WOW!!! I hope this works out for you..
