Default Exhaust Thoughts

I'm getting ready to build the exhaust system for the truck. What do you guys think of the flex joints that are becoming more common? I was going to install them right after the header collector and then continue back with the exhaust system. Are there any issues with running them?

Also what kind of hangers are preferred? Anybody make those silicon grommets in black instead of blue?

On a side note how do you guys think this combo will sound? 415ci LS with long tube headers. 3" exhaust with cross over and Magnaflow mufflers.

Any comments are greatly appreciated!

I would have liked to use an X, but it won't fit. I have to use a balance pipe instead. It shouldn't give up much.

Thanks Speed, I have that article as well. That is the reason I was not overly worried about using a balance pipe instead of an X. That's good stuff there! Appreciate it, thanks again.
