Default 2nd gen , ls1 , with factory front drive ?

we have a customer wanting a 2nd gen trans am with a ls1 and MUST use a factory pulley drive with AC . but from what i see we need to notch the front crossmember is that what everyone else does ?

changing the front drive is not a anwser or changing the front subframe .

Kenny- Currently working on setting up a 2nd gen with factory sub-frame to a L99 with factory drive.. It is a challenge but looking @ how I going to make it work... Listed is what I have discovered in our research..

Factory motor & trans sits 1 inch towards pass side measured from centerline of chassis
L99 drive sits alternator in lower position from LS1
L99 drive sits about 1 inch further away from block(like a truck drive)
LS1 oil pan gives the best clearence on sub-frame
Machining & fabricating our own Altnator & A/C brackets with motor mounts with trans support

Here is where we are @ this time..
