Default DSE mini tub kit ????

Has anyone ever used caltracs on the mini tub kit? Not sure if it is even feasible with the offset shackle but just looking into different options rather than the AME/DSE 4 link systems

(looking to make alot of trips to the dragway so need something that can take the abuse and plant the power)

I don't see it being a problem at all.

my main concern is the shackle bending i guess. The motor is being built and should be making north of 1700hp on race setting and that much pressure/shock load being applied to the offset shackle i can see it bending.

the car really needs to be backhalved but i want to retain the back seats for the kids when taking it out on a cruise. So i need something that is strong enough yet compact, so my options are limited.

so needless to say this is more of a drag car but occassion street use (but with the "pro-touring" look to it)

Wow, 1700hp. Now I understand why you have concerns!

I think that if you are going with that much power you need to go tot a 4 link just my .02. Also just curious what kind of car are you putting all this power into?

yeah the 4 link is the right way to go, but i want to retain the back seats so that is my issue. The car will be a cruiser for the first couple of years until the kids get older then will get the whole chassis redone (25.2 cert). So for now i am looking to do it as a "pro-touring" style car that is why i joined the site to do some research and get some opinions on it.

the car is a first gen firebird
