Default Huge group of neglected Bullmastiffs in serious need of help.

Friends,

I don't post on Lat-G often but this is something of an emergency so I hope you'll indulge me. As elsewhere chronicled, I was a Bullmastiff parent, and will be again soon. There is a huge group of dogs that was just rescued from a horrifically neglectful situation in Nevada. Most of the dogs are currently in Phoenix and some have yet to be rescued from NV. The costs of this have outstripped the American Bullmastiff Associations resources. Please give the link below a read and if you can help please do.

My girl, Roxy was adopted from ABARS. She was given a second shot at life via rescue. Please give these dogs a similar chance. We will be adopting one or two of these dogs, but there are far more that need immediate care.

Thanks,
True, Kathy and Roxy (RIP)

Good for Titan! That is awesome news. I knew he would have a home soon. He's a great looking dog.
I'm digging that brindle Mastiff, Boy.

I do want to mention again that the dogs will be moving to foster homes all across the country. There just aren't enough fosters in the SW for all of them. As mentioned on the blog, there are already quite a few that have been moved to the PNW. Next week a few will be headed to the Gulf States area, and as I recall there is another group that will be headed to the Mid-Atlantic/Virgina area.

If you've any inkling toward adoption, don't let the fact that the dogs are in Phoenix keep you from looking into it. Dawn is totally open to change the plan for which dogs go where so that one you might be interested in can be fostered near you.

Again, the transport costs and continuing medical treatments are substantial. Thanks a ton to those who have donated, and if anyone else can help, there's a wrinkle faced pooch that'll really appreciate it.

Very cool blog about the dogs updates.

Sad to see many died of Parvo so young. Good that many others found homes.
I almost lost my pup to Parvo as well, and he was also vaccinated.
Very strange.....

In December of 2011 I made a public plea for assistance in the rescue effort of 27 Bullmastiffs that were in a horrible situation in Las Vegas, NV. I know a few of you made donations to the effort. For that, you have my most sincere gratitude. I wanted to share with you the blog post linked below with an announcement and update on the dogs YOU helped save.

Thank you.
