Default Any Coilover Feedback on the Ridetech Units?

The shop that does most of my work is working on a car and their customer is considering the switch from the shockwaves to the triple adj coilover units. they certainly look awesome but i havent found much regarding tests or reviews on them. I am also thinking about doing these but the single adj units.

anyone?

sometimes i think there are way too many options to play with in this modified segment OMG.

You won't have any disappointments and less headaches to deal with over the air. Nothing wrong with air if you want it, and willing to deal with it. Air is not a "set it and forget it" system. Coil overs can be once they have been tuned.

Philly, we do have a lot of options to play with, and thank goodness we do. I switched to the Ridetech triple adjustable coil overs about three months ago and the difference between the single adjustables is significant. I also have a vehicle on air and I believe that all the products are good and have applications which make them perfect.

In my case, I wanted to be competitive in the pro-touring events and various Autocross series. I also drive my car a significant amount of miles on the street (4500 miles in the last 3 months). The triple adjustable coil overs give me everything I want in every one of those situations. They can make the car ride like a new car on the highway, change rebound and compression and I'm ready for the track. Want to drag race, just change the settings front to rear so the car will launch. I can stiffen up all four corners for Autocross. A really tight Autocross, soften up just the rear and make the car rotate. Got a push, dial in some more rebound and keep the weight planted longer. You get the picture - there are nearly endless combinations to make the vehicle suspension perfect for whatever you're doing.

And it's not hard or complicated - I can change all four corners in less than 5 minutes. If you learn some basic suspension physics, it all starts to make sense. And the Ridetech guys are great to work with and are willing to answer any questions you may have.

Default Can't go wrong with Ridetech!

I have recently switched from another manufacturers coilover to the Ridetech Triples & am very pleased with the results.

The mono tube construction is more consistant in all situations especially on the track. I set my shocks compression (high,& low speed) & then rebound. Once the car is responding the way I want it to on the track it stays that way through all the sessions, ( usually 10-20min.). I don't have to worry about fade anymore, & I can concentrate on my lines.

I have been consistantly finishing in the top five at the events since I've changed to the Ridetech Triples.

I also am able to adjust the shocks for better street manners, especially since these are street cars not race cars.

I say you can't go wrong with either the single adjustables or the triples, it really just depends on how much track events you plan on doing.

I also must say that Ridetech has outstanding customer service & tech support. You will not be disappointed in anyway.

thanks for the feedback guys, i agree triple adj units are awesome i had them on my Camaro and other cars in the past.

I really think switching from air to these new coilovers is in my To Do List very soon. I would like to at least sell my E3 Air Set up set up to help fund the swap. Do you guys think I can get decent money on the Dual Compressor, Shock Waves with dual adj and build in sensors etc? Stuff wasnt cheap thats for sure

Figure fifty cents on the dollar for your air ride and go from there. The Ridetech triples are $2600 retail.

Do yourself a favor and look at the JRI shocks. Can't go wrong. Proven on pro-touring cars.

i was using ridetech air and then i went to single adjust coils. The air is much more labor involved even after its installed. For a autocross car i would do coils. for a show and a little go, Air.
