Thank you.. I will pay you in lunch for being my spokesman
Long Story short: My wife and I began the process of being Foster parents early in the year.. it took a lot of training and our hope is to eventually adopt (from THIS country). We had two boy for 6 months but the mom lawyered up and got them back.. such is life.
As for Penny she's been lots of places.. I ran her in Nebraska at the Sandhills Open Road race where she went 172.4 mph in the mile. Drag raced her in Pomona (11.6 124mph) but couldn't hook in the high heat. Drove here Ely, Nevada last month for the Silverstate classic and then drove her home. Ran her at the RTTC event, but I'm having a slight clutch engagement issue.
Right now I'm getting her ready (installing a floater) for her fifth showing at SEMA and she won an invite to the Optima Invitational, which should be loads of fun. Just moved to an 11-inch rear wheel and 315 tire (Falken).. should be better balanced, but I need to reset the car.
Hey, how many cars have an OUSCI trophy, a Wally, and a Hooker's Choice trophy????? LOL
After SEMA I might be selling her to fun some new projects.. which sucks since I love the car, but I like creating and I can't justify having two expensive cars in the garage
I wish I had time to hit more events, but I'm so buy working doing car stuff that I sometimes don't have time to do personal car stuff.
