Default Hood strut source needed

Where can I get the black billet hood hinge struts from? I need some for a bare carbon fiber hood and I need them within a week to my doorstep.

Anyone have a source? Thanks

Have you tried Ring Bros or Fesler?

Sometimes the extra $100 is worth the sanity of knowing they will work / fit the application. Otherwise try McMaster Carr and spend twice that "experimenting" with different pressures / lengths etc until you get the "right" one.

There was a thread a few months ago in which Fesler stated that their struts were custom built for their application, such that there wasn't an off-the-shelf part you could use in its place. Ah, found it:

Twist Machine makes some cool ones. I had them on my last car.

John what hinges do you have? you cant just put any strut on them and that is the problem with most manufactures that make hinges they dont understand how they work and just buy any strut. They will fail over time we see it all the time here in the shop with test stuff we do.
