Lightbulb Need a set of LS6 243 heads...

Posted in the WTB section too... But that section doesn't seem to get much traffic... Cruising eBay and all the typical spots

Looking for a set of stock 243 heads in decent condition.... Nothing fancy, not aftermarket etc

I pmd you. Look for 799 castings as well, they are the same thing minus the sodium filled valves. 799 casting can be found cheap!

Avg price seems to be around the $300 range for a pair

Check car-parts.com I found a set of 243's off a 2009 5.3 for $300. They looked brand new when I got them.

My understanding is that the 799's and 243's are the same exact head. The difference is that they are cast at different plants.

The only 243's with light weight valves came on c5 zo6's. Any 243's that came off 5.3's are going to have the heavier valves. A set with light weight valves will normally sell for about $100 extra, but they are getting very hard to find.
