Default Must See Video: 59 Bel Air vs 2009 Impala

I love old cars. I love the styles of the 50's & 60's car. Safety? Not so much. We all think they were built like tanks & they're safe, but that is a myth.

Watch this 1959 Bel Air in a head on impact with a 2009 Malibu.

This is a MUST SEE video. Click HERE.

I saw that a few years ago when it came out. It is amazing. The view from inside the '59 looking forward is crazy.

It's actually a 2009 Malibu, I know, details details.

Yeah the metal was much thicker on older cars but the shape of the structure just doesn't compare to modern cars. (or high strength steel).

That thin dog leg a-pillar just folded right up. I'll have to do my best to not get into any front offset collisions!

Chalk one up for modern designs... the right things in the right places (crash testing and good engineering). Great video Ron...Thanks for sharing.

While it is cool to see, I never like seeing an old car wrecked, no matter what brand or type..

My car:

461 cid - check

"impaler" steering column - check

Hmm...
