Default Panel Quality: bang for the buck

So as I am starting to get the ball rolling on getting the body straight and rust free on my Bird.

I was looking around at the tons of options for body panels. I was curious if anyone knew who sold good panels that wont cost my body man a ton of time fitting.

I asked him if he knew which were good, but he said usually the customer brings him the stuff, but that he had good experiences with Dynacorn stuff

Any advice here?

If its going to save me money in the long run, I would rather spend a little more up front.

I usually get coupons from places like Classic Industries, but Im not too sure about the quality of their components

Thanks

It's all hit or miss, just got to manipulate it to where it needs to be.

AMD sells direct or look to the left <<< at some of the site sponsor to get pricing. Don't think for a minute you won't have to cut and fit any sheet metal you get. They all have some issues and it's not just the parts sometimes it's the car their going on. I've had qtrs on the same car and one side fit with no issue and the other side needed all kinds of cutting and reshaping.

As Mark said it's hit or miss as to if you got the good part out of the press or the one that moved during the stamping.

Also remember AMD doesn't make all the parts, some they sell are from other company's so make sure to ask if it's an AMD parts or not.

yea just trying to look for the most accurate panels.

I have heard some horror stories and didnt want to save 50$ on the panel only to pay 150$ in labor to fit the panel.

I noticed that AMD doesnt make too much of the Firebird panels, most of them listed on their website were other manufacturers.

One of the PY members said the new Dynacorn stuff is really great, and they have everything for it.

We will see, hopefully I start swiping the credit card soon
