Default New Guy with a new car!!

I have lurked here for a while.

I am happy to say that I am a new owner of a pro-touring first generation Camaro. I just took delivery of Shay's 69 Camaro after I posted a wanted ad on Pro-touring.

I will be the first to admit that I am not the most knowledgable person when it comes to the engineering aspects of a high performance car. But, I will also admit that I love high performance cars and pro-touring seems like the most logical path to take.

I have a few tweaks in mind regarding my new acquisition and hope to get some opinions from the members of this board once I formulate what they will be.

I look forward to the continued learning experiences I am sure to get from the continued discussions on this board.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Shay for building such an awesome car.

I would also like to thank Steve (Streetfytr69) for his expertise as well. Since Steve lives a few towns away from me, I hope he can put up with my newbie questions.

Thanks also go to Steve1969LS1 for his advice as well.

Thanks,

Jim

Yea, didn't anyone tell you about "easing" into the hobby????

Hey, you KNOW I like your choice and I think you got a hell of a deal given the content of the car..

Welcome to our merry little world

Well at least I am going feet first into the fire.

Seriously, this car is downright awesome. Unfortunately, I may be a little to used to traction control, ABS and all the other doo-hickies the new cars have to save us from doing serious damage to ourselves and our cars.

There will be an adjustment period for me for sure, but after that, I truly hope to enjoy the car.

Shay built an unbelievable car here and should be commended for a great job well done.

If we had 10 Shay's with decision power at GM, I may actually buy their stock.

Thanks again,

Jim
