It's a play on the term pro-street, but in a touring car sense.

Can of worms: Open. lol

To me, pro-touring is (generally) a muscle car build style that has a primary focus on handling in a street car, bringing it up to modern sports car capabilities.

Dont just bolt a set of 17's on your car and not lower it and call it
Pro-Touring.................You see a lot of that.

Good Luck with your build

Scott pretty much summed it up! Funny how a lot of the guys on here started there car lives as VW men! I had a '68, dropped with a 2180cc. One of the original "California Bugs"!

on a camaro, id say that front suspension upgrades are a must, but anything from a gulstarnd-mod (free) to an ATS chikaine front frame (not free!!) goes... an absolute must is solid bodymounts... upgraded brakes, stiffer bushings, possibly an upgraded rear suspension (jaguar IRS??... i mention this because ive helped install it on a 67 and it looks awesome) the right style wheel, and a thought thru "design" and its a PT car

Imagine world class suspension, hi horsepower engines (to include turbo charging, fuel injection, engine management) huge brakes and luxery interiors, incredible paint (or suede) all installed on classic Hot Rod bodies from the 50's 60's and 70's. Oh and lots of good people and suppliers.

That's Pro-Touring to me. And lucky you...you've landed on the very best site for all of the above.

Welcome!
