Default Camaro purchase advice

Newb needs advice on purchasing a camaro. Many of you have probably seen my other post in general about the ls1, c4 camaro on ebay. A few of the details are scaring. So the hunt is still on.

Basically, I have found a 69 so called PT. But really it is just bell tech lowered. From the guy says (a dealer) no mini tub, which I wish it had.
So am I better off just finding a nice 69 for 24-27k and doing all the suspension myself, or buy something like this for 38.5.

I dont have time for ANY body work, interior, etc. I need the car to be complete and fresh. I just want to do minor mods as I go.

Did any of this even make sense?

My suggestion is to find a nice clean car in the color you like, motor you like, and make the changes you want, suspension, brakes, add A/C, Fuel injection, Pulleys, etc. You have to put the value of basically any nice painted, complete running car at $25K since it cost $20K to do just sheetmetal and paint.

Feel free to ask us for opinions on anything you may find.

As for the car you link to, Uh NO! Looks like a rough piece, old motor, production wheels,

I would rather see you find something closer to stock and put your suspension, your brakes, your wheels, instead of paying for someones elses idea, unless it is your dream car, then pay up!

If I were you I would find a nice Camaro body minus paint, drivetrain, and suspension. Unless you find one that you know the history on. For me it seemed that most of the parts on my car ended up having some sort of problem or needed replacing anyway. You don't want to pay for someone elses problems. Also, once I got under the paint I found a lot of issues I didn't know existed

I know of 2 camaros, a 69 and a 67 that have perfect sheet metal. The 67 is even in bare steel so you can see how nice the body really is. I'm confident the 69 is just as nice. Both cars have been worked on by professionals, have been mini tubed, wheels and possibly some suspension parts.

Send me a PM if your interested and I will give a number to call. The shop who worked on them may be able to finish them for you.

Reckley, PM on its way. where is this shop located?

And that is one sick Nova. If I was going Nova, I'd have to do a 66. But Im stuck on the 69 camaro.
