they also did one with the prototype plymouth prowler but welded it shut in a metal box and they had to move it couple years later.

You know, if you take the time to really look at the pictures, the car isn't really all that bad. It should, you would think, have rust holes half way up the doors, 1/4s, fenders, etc, but it doesn't. In fact, if you look, there is still paint in these areas! If there is paint, there is metal. Hell, the front bumper even SHINES where the crud was wiped off. By all rights, it should be a glob of peeling chrome, not shiny.

As a 57-59 Mopar enthusiast and as someone who seen the car in person, that car is beyond saving. You could remove some of the trim and use it, but the metal has been eaten at from both sides and all the metal would have to be replaced. When they opened the trunk, the inner structure fell down leaving the skin on its own. You could poke a screw in the quarter and drag it to the other end without any problem. The best thing anyone could do is just try to preserve whats there.
