Default New guy with a '71 Firebird

John, NOT A TA, said I should come check out this forum that you guys were all pretty cool, so here I am! I have a rough '71 Firebird Esprit. Ive owned it for about 5 years but its mainly sat, I just got it running again and am trying to "get somewhere with it" but money is tight but Im trying. Its gotta 350 Pontiac that I'd like to pull in favor of a bigger Pontiac but the 350 currently runs well enough that I would feel bad doing it so its getting any hop up parts I may use in the future stuck on it, whether they're appropriate or not, case in point the Edelbrock Torker II intake and Edelbrock 750 cfm carb that are on it. Too large I know, but the 350 does'nt seem to mind, lol. The car also has a freshly built and installed 200 4r so I can throw down some decent MPG numbers. With the OD I actually need rear gears now to take advantage of it, lol. Im going about 70 before it shifts into OD...which has been fun I'll admit. Im not big on taking pics but I'll try to get a couple shots here in the next couple days, but just so you can visualize, its the most hideous gold you've ever seen, the interior was tan but is half way to becoming black, which the car will be also when im done. Anyway, nice to meet you guys, any questions feel free to ask. Im going to look around now!

Welcome! I am another second gen owner (of the Camaro kind though). John (NOTATA) is a great guy, I'm glad he sent you here. We need all the second gens we can get, we're getting overrun with the first gens!
