that makes sense- I've been giving every part it's own code.I'll play with is some more. It's amazing how much admin time it takes to run a part-time shop

Chris we do the same thing. Quickbooks is very versatile, and if you know how to tweak it will let you do a lot more than you think. My pops is really good at it, if you needed help with it. Also, their tech line is pretty good, if you can understand the thick accent.

Actually on a serious note. My good buddy and I are working on software to interface with QuickBooks. Heck we might just sell it to them and call it a day. I know there are plenty of shop that would use it.

The cool part is that he we have set it up so the owner can actually see the status of his account on-line. No surprises so he knows exactly where he is financially in the build.

We are also trying to have it print the daily worksheets with the invoice so the customer can see exactly what was done on a day to day basis.
