I used H&R springs that put the car on a little bit of a rake. I'm using Bilstein shocks but I don't think that makes much difference in ride height. I still have some wheel to fender gap (which was also one of my concerns). Maybe 22s and rubber band tires will fill the fender wells. Btw, the car is a '85 IROC.

Twinkie's twenties and rubber band tires probably won't work to well if you plan on driving the car. 18-inch wheels are the largest I would go with on a third-gen.

IMO For your car I prefer a lower stance, but I know exhaust clearance under the floors can be tight.

I think 3rd gens are very nice looking cars with the right stance and wheel/tire combo.

I fully agree with Ryan on this one.
I had a '91 Camaro RS and loved it. Something about that body style that is cool.

It can go lower and live on the street. This was taken in the late 80's so forgive the styling. It was hot at the time.

I have to disagree on "level" and "stance" being two different things. A car can have a great stance and be perfectly level, not to be confused with raked or having a rake and I think your car looks right sitting level. I think a 1" drop front and rear and a 1 or 2" increase in wheel diameter would do wonders for your car making it look more modern and aggressive.

Thanks Jason. I've pretty much decided on switching to Eibach coilsprings which would lower the car almost another inch. I will most likely switch to 18-in wheels in future, but right now I'm stuck with the 17s because of funds. When I get new wheels I want to do it right and get a nice set, ie Rushforth, Forgeline, etc and not buy cheaper set to just have 18s. Unfortunately, wheels will probably have to wait until my son gets done with daycare, as that bill is the size of most people's mortgage payments. I still want an action plan though for the camaro.

Thanks, I like that right there. How much do you think that equates to in reality? Should be doing something in December to get it lower.
